Malapascua Island
Malapascua Island, like Bantayan, is also located in the northern part of Cebu lying in the green, blue Visayan sea. It’s particularly famous for its white sand beaches and unique dive spots, where you can have the opportunity to see the Thresher shark. Believe it or not, the name Malapascua means “Unfortunate Christmas” in English. But with the beauty of its white sand beaches and the experience it has to offer, you would most likely forget what the word “unfortunate” means. Malapascua also called “Logon” is popular to tourists who love to swim and snorkel. According to them, it is the new Boracay, although not as famous as Boracay, this little paradise has everything what an adventurer is seeking out. So what exactly you can do in the island? Take a dive in the crystal clear ocean, meet the friendly Thresher shark, go snorkeling among the fishes, take a tour around the island and take a deep breath of fresh air while relaxing in the white sand beach.

Going To Malapascua Island?
Of course you need to be in Cebu first. Now from Cebu City you need to take a bus to Daan Bantayan. It will take 4-5 hours of travel (I know it’s a long travel but it’s worth it *smiles). Well 4 hours really is a long travel for someone who wants to relax and enjoy. That’s why you should take a bus with air condition, like “Ceres Bus Tours” in order for you to relax a bit while in the transit.
While on the way there, you will pass Mandaue and Conosolacion. In the midway of travel you will reach Bogo for Bus stop for unloading passengers. Daan Bantayan is near in Bogo. After reaching Daan Bantayan, you need to ride a boat this time. It will take 30 minutes of travel of boat ride to finally reach the Malapascua Island. When you reach there have fun with nice scenery and fine sand of Malapascua.
